"I loved the way you not only prepared the variety of activities but the beginning of the retreat. You set the tone for how to approach finding solitude with God and allowed that it might be in sharing time with another person or in a solitary activity. The retreat left me with a sense of peace by removing me from so many distractions."

"I was thankful for a family oriented time of reflection in nature. I participated in a hike and quiet reflection by writing poetry. It helped me to slow down, take account of my inner and outer world, and be present with God and community in nature. I really appreciated the liturgical opening and closing that bracketed my experience. It was something that I would repeat."

"My very favorite part of the mini-retreat was the after-part. My kids have asked several times since then, "When are we doing that again?" They loved it!
There are not many (if any) times in our daily lives that have scheduled rest/quiet/retreat. But that day-the hammocks, the art supplies, the dedicated time to be in nature and not on screens-it really made an impression on each of us. My other favorite part was discovering my husband and daughter sketching their own versions of the same thing. That for them, was very special. In normal day-to-day life, they may never have discovered the joy of doing that together."
